Among the electric guitars ever made, Fender Jaguar remains
to be one of the most-sought after especially among those who are into alternative
rock and indie rock.
A product of Fender Musical Instruments, it was introduced
in 1962 after the Jazzmaster, another guitar from Fender, failed to attract the
target market. Today, Fender Jaguar, especially the vintage guitars, costs several
times more than its original price.
The Fender Jaguar has what is commonly described as an ‘offset
waist’ body and vibrato unit. It is fitted with a 22-fret neck, 24-inch scale
and small single-coil pickups and notched side plates. With these features, RF
shielding is greatly improved, making the electric guitar less prone to
interference.
